Illustrator Research #26- Ella Tjader

Ella Tjader is freelance illustrator who specializes in fashion and decorative illustration. Her work consists of highly stylized, vividly coloured line-drawings of gorgeous creatures: women, nature, flowers, and other creatures. Her illustrations were recently featured in Illusive Contemporary Illustration: v.1 and v. 2, Taschen Illustration Now, Big Book of Fashion Illustration, and The Age of Feminine Drawing, and it was also produced on exclusive T-shirts at both Urban Outfitters and Target.

Some of her clients include JEM sportswear, Random House Group UK, La Perla Italy, Penguin books UK, Random house Canada, NYLON Japan, Die Gestalten Verlag dgv, Santoro Graphics, Women's Weekly Australia, Ogilvy Healthworld Advertising UK, Cosmopolitan Germany, and Littlearth.

Her working method consists of her either drawing in Illustrator or sketching on paper. Afterwards she finishes the images in Photoshop.

I really love how she does her work in Photoshop; the colors and linework are very smooth and crisp. It all also seems to have a nice dynamic flow to it.
