Illustrator Research #10- Peter Hoffman

Peter Hoffman is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator that focuses on figurative drawing. He was born in Koblenz, Germany and studied Graphic Design at the Trier University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He also studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art & Design in the US, and he received his master of arts at SCAD. He founded Glashaus and freelanced for several design agencies.

Some of his clients were Gollenstein Verlag, Visions Magazine, Fast Company Magazine, Charleston Magazine, Page Magazine X- Funs Magazine Taiwan, and Noyum Magazine.

His media varies in his work process, as he creates type design and sculptures along with his illustrations. His illustrations often consist of pen and ink with paint and other bits of media involved.

His pen and ink illustrations are very fluid-like to me. They flow well across the page, and his use of mixed media gives a bit of flatness to his images that give them a design element. This also emphasizes the contours, and the ink stands out.

His website is located here: http://www.glashaus-design.com/
