Illustrator Research #14- Ana Bagayan

Ana Bagayan is an illustrator with a surrealist-like style. She was born in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, and moved to the US when she was six. She eventually entered Art Center College of Design in Pasadena where she earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration.

Some of her clients have been Rolling Stone, Wieden & Kennedy, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, GQ Magazine, Spin Magazine, Diesel, Lucky Tangerine, and Honda.

Her working method consists of painting with oils overall.; they add to her style by creating some sense of surrealism.

For me, Ana Bagayan's work seems to have both some scary yet facinating effect to it. With the woodpecker pecking another woodpecker's brain, some of the imagery doesn't seem quite so surrealistic as having a slightly scary aspect.

Her website is located here: http://www.anabagayan.com/
