Illustrator Research #11- Johnny Yanok

Johnny Yanok is an illustrator who creates images with simple shapes by either paint or computer. He lives in Akron Ohio, and he is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design.

Some of his clients were Target, Cartoon Network, Walt Disney Television Animation, Mudpuppy, Hallmark Cards, Klutz, K & Company, Harcourt, and Learning Curve, Intl.
His style is very cutout-like, and he paints his works and also uses the computer to create them. Both have similar features despite being different media.

I do like that his unique style is continuous. His work really brings out the childhood essence by the simple shapes and bright colors. It also keeps the essence of the character or characters without a lot of detail.

His website is located here: http://johnnyyanok.com/
