Illustrator Research #20- Ian Whadcock

Ian Whadcock has lectured in Illustration most recently at Manchester Metropolitan University and Cambridge School of Art APU and maintains an interest in the direction of Illustration education at undergradute post graduate levels. He works with digital media in a graphic and geometric manner.

His clients have been The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, The Economist, Otis Europe, Readers Digest, Harvard Business Review, Fortune Small Business, BBC Gardeners World, BBC Music, Radio Times, Investors Chronicle, The Financial Times, Management Today, Serco Group, BP, Royal Society of Arts, The Art Fund, Drapers, Personnel Today, People Management, CFO magazine, CPO magazine, OKI, Adobe Europe, Nat West Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Royal Mail, Community Care Magazine, BBC Top Gear Magazine, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Royal Society of Psychiatrists, AA, National Health Service, Halfords, Ford Magazine, and Director Magazine.

I enjoy the geometric forms used in his pieces, particularily with the people, as it really emphasizes his particular style and the messages of "fixing things" seen in a lot of his imagery.
