Illustrator Research #11- Fiona King

Fiona King attended the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson, British Columbia in 1976. After graduating, she worked doing production, graphic design, and illustration. She moved to California in 1983 and has focused exclusively on illustration for the last 11 years. She currently resides in McElmo Canyon near Cortez, CO. Her media usage includes combining scratchboard with digital elements.

Some of her clients have included Addison-Wesley Publishing, Barron's, Continental Airlines, Harcourt Brace, Kimberly Clark, McGraw Hill, Miller Brewing Company, Perrier, Smithsonian, St. Martin's Press, Sunset Magazine, and Wall Street Journal.

Although I'm not too good with scratchboard, I really admire how she works with it, and it inspires me to work with it more myself.
