Illustrator Research #12- Traci O'Very Covey

Traci O'Very Covey works with a sense of composition and color by creating a narrative style with overlapping elements often with a central figure. She was born in Salt Lake City and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Utah in 1983. She has been an award-winning graphic designer and illustrator for the past 23 years. Her use of media varies, using watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and digital pen.

Some of her clients have been Macmillan McGraw-Hill, Gibbs Smith Publisher, Fallon Community Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Red Butte Garden, Deseret Book Company, Utah Homes & Garden Magazine, and Family Education Today.

Traci's style is appealling to me, and it brings out a whimsical element to the lineart as well as the color overlap. The work in general is all very expressive.
